Going up there, it was a possibility to stay two nights, but a few hours after we arrived, we were getting some of the smoke from the nearby fires. The sky for our first night was a bit dark and creepy but by the following morning, it had cleared up a lot. We still decided to leave early, just in case. We are glad that we did, as the nearby fires got worse. Thankfully they didn’t touch Big Bear, though they got close.
Big Bear reminded me a lot of Mount Herman and going there often as a kid.
Hopefully next time I will get the change to go again and spend a little bit more time relaxing and exploring the area.
