I had the privilege to visit my dear Malagasy friends that are going to school in Texas. I've known Mamitiana since around 2000 or 2001, and I met Toky later, around 2004, before they were together. I even attended their wedding in Madagascar!!
They have been going to Seminary in Texas sine 2014 but it was only this year that I was able to get over there and visit them. The end of February Mamitiana was ordained as a Pastor, so I was able to attend the ceremony. They had invited me last year to come out for that, but I wasn't sure at the time if I was going to be able to make it.
I'm so glad I had this time to visit them, and I hope it's not my last time to visit them! It was just such a blessing and so encouraging to be with them and spend quality with all of them.
I loved hanging out with and playing with the kids as well, they are 3 amazing kids!! Kanto is 9, Nomena is almost 8 and Fita is 4. Fita and I become best buds right off the bat. We were inseparable, he was my little shadow. Even until now, we FaceTime almost every day and he asks me what I'm doing, tells me about his day.
Toky really took some time to really encourage me, invest what she could into me while I was there for those 12 days, and was truly a blessing, she's an amazing friend!
The bond I have with Fita is amazing and of course I had to do some headshots with this sweetheart!! He was awesome in front of the camera, as you can see!!
The Mamitiana family took me around Fort Worth, Toky and I explored Dallas one day, I was able to visit their campus, meet some of their friends, meet more Malagasy people and others from all over the world.
Thank you again Mamitiana, Toky, Kanto, Nomena and Fita for welcoming me into your home, for loving me and blessing me with your friendship!! Love you guys!
