I had the privilege to travel to a village recently to celebrate 7 weddings!! To get to this village, had to drive on a paved road, down a dirt road full of holes, across a river on a ferry, and down another dirt road full of holes.
This is the village that I have done some outreaches in, the past, but it has been years since I’ve been back. It has changed a lot, there’s a lot of wonderful improvements there.
The celebration was held inside the local church, which I have slept in, in the past. And boy were there a lot of people!! The church was so packed, you could barely move around, and there were still a bunch of people outside the church, standing in the doorways and windows.
I hope that the couples will be happy with their photos. I was the only photographer there, besides some people taking pictures on their phones. And I was the only white person! :)
This was an all day event, and we were pretty wiped out once we got back home, but we all had
a wonderful time!
Towards the end of the ceremony, I was able to wedge myself out of the church and get some fresh air outside. While there, I came across a bunch of kids and started to take their photos. Some of the them were shy, not really knowing what I was doing. After I took a few photos, I showed them their picture on my camera and they had a good laugh. After that, and giving them a candy, they wanted me to keep taking photos of them!!!
